Nick Baker is a Los Angeles-based actor and stand-up comedian, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He credits both of his parents with diligently working to foster in him intellectual and artistic pursuits as a child. He credits his mother with teaching him the importance of hard work and courage while he credits his late father for his carefree approach to life. After attending Ursinus College for his general studies, Nick continued to follow his passion and studied fine art at Tyler School of Art at Temple University for three years, and then attended Temple University for two years of theatre work. Nick's first paid acting role while attending college was in an anti-smoking PSA for the state of Delaware. At Temple University, Nick was an apprentice at Williamstown Theatre Festival, where director Michael Greif (If/Then, Next to Normal, Grey Gardens) cast him in his production of Street Scene, in which he acted alongside Benjamin McKenzie. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater, and though he declares acting as his true passion, he also enjoys visual art. After enjoying a few years of lucrative commercial work between New York and Philadelphia, Nick was cast as the Irish Pub Bartender in Rocky Balboa and was directed by Sylvester Stallone in the final installment of his Rocky series. Nick was then cast in The Lovely Bones by Peter Jackson, working alongside Michael Imperioli. Nick moved to Los Angeles in 2012 to accelerate his acting career. Bill Howey was the first acting teacher he experienced whose teaching technique unlocked doors to new artistic thresholds. Nick particularly enjoyed Howey's focus on what works for each specific actor and how to make the most interesting choices. He also studied with Amy Lyndon, to whom he credits his success with auditions. Nick continues to work regularly in film, television, web series and commercials. In May 2015, he became the proud father of his first daughter, Eva Victoria Grace Baker.
