Sam Day was raised in the small town of Georgetown, Indiana. After graduating from Floyd Central High School in 2003, Sam attended Ball State University to study film and finance. His thesis project, Perspective (2006), which he co-produced with long-time friend Travis Hatfield, went on to win several awards, including the National Student Academy Award in 2006. Sam currently lives in New York City.
