Liz Laird, born Elizabeth Ann Robertson in Rochester, Minnesota, began acting in elementary school - her first role was as the young princess in the Brothers Grimm's "Rumplestiltzkin", in which her mother refitted her into her old wedding dress for the final wedding scene. She left Minnesota and moved to Chicago, her mother's hometown. There, she decided to seriously pursue acting. She began at Improv Olympic with Del Close. To gain classical training, she attended DePaul University, formerly the Goodman School of Acting and studied under both Joyce Hiller Piven & Byrne Piven at The Piven School, as well as Uta Hagen. Liz received her MFA in Theatre from the University of Arizona and now resides in Los Angeles.
