James Magnum Cook was born June 14, 1968 in Bowling Green, Kentucky where he spent most of his life except for 8 years living in Georgia. In 1986 he became an Eagle Scout with Troop 202 of the First Christian Church in Bowling Green and has often mentioned that his former Scoutmaster "Doc Evans" influenced him in many of his decisions still to this day. In 1986 while still in high school he also became a trained and licensed Private Investigator as America's youngest at the time. Later he was featured in a school paper article about becoming a Private Investigator at such a young age and before even completing High School. Magnum also served in the U.S. Army Reserve Entry Program his last two years of High School and entered active duty on 8 June 1987 only to be discharged later for stress induced asthma which he never believed should have been the case and continued to be supportive even after leaving the service under these circumstances. Later he returned home for a brief stay only to finally leave for the small town of Toccoa, Georgia where he lived for most of the 8 years he stayed in Georgia, but also had brief stays in both Gainesville and Athens during this time period. He became the youngest person ever to run for City Commissioner of Toccoa, Georgia at the age of 23 in 1991 and automatically found quick local fame in the small town of 10,000 people. He ran his own business from 1990-1995 in Toccoa which was Cook's Security Consultant Agency and also had a brief partnership in a Comic Book store in the town as well. Before leaving Toccoa he married and divorced Holly Gayle Smith. Upon returning to Bowling Green he was working for Applebees as a Line Cook and felt he was out of place for his element, but decided to play the hand that was dealt him. In 1996 together with his father, he returned to the world of business owning J&F Bait and Tackle for a period of almost 10 years when he closed it in 2005. It was in April of 2004 that he began to do something he came to love and that was being a Photographer and Model Manager for the company once parented by J&F Bait and Tackle known as Magnum's Models using his nickname and placing into his name. In 2002 he had been on the Warren County, Kentucky ballot running for Constable and restablished his name as Magnum. Magnum's Models was formed by himself under the direction of his best friend Adam Campbell who originally wanted to have a Bobber Girl program of girls washing cars, trucks and boats outside the bait shop which never came to past. Once the Magnum's Models website was established, the rest was history with Adam Campbell later becoming a partner in the company and Vice President. They also established Magnum Caliber Films in 2005 and began working on Batman A Date With Destiny fan film which is still being produced. Magnum also began to work with other talent agents including Ken Shelton who owned Hot Stuff Magazine and photographers like Charlie Gillespie who had shot models for Playboy. In late 2006 James Magnum Cook also began investing small amounts to help other filmmakers around the globe and started gaining credits of which some have started to appear on the IMDB at the time of this writing.
