She is the fifth generation of her family to be diagnosed with the disease. Her great-great grandma had breast cancer, her great grandpa had colon, her grandma had breast, her mom had melanoma and she had thyroid. Lisa Marie Wilson was born to an Elvis impersonator and a nurse in Lapeer, Michigan, but resides in Los Angeles, California. She writes and produces a variety of entertainment for both TV and the Internet including comedy web series, VideoBreakups.com and BFFENT.com. She produced a documentary about her brother called, "My Careless Brother's Vasectomy," where she promotes vasectomies to men who don't take care of their children. In her latest attempt to find the funny in her dysfunctional family, she writes her very real and honest travels through life and cancer all with a smile and a hearty laugh. She honestly believes that to get through the cancer times in life, that laughter is better than a xanax. She has also written many TV pilots, feature films and spec scripts.
