Klance grew up on Ironhurst station in the Australian bush. From a very young age, she would sing, and regardless of where she was, crowds would gather around to hear her voice. It didn't matter to Klancie if her audience was small or large, young or old, famous or obscure, she shared her gift of music without reserve, and for many years this exemplified her generosity of spirit. She attended school in Townsville, and has spent time in Brisbane and country Queensland. She has performed at the Sydney Opera House, and in Rome in front of the Pope. After giving birth to her beautiful baby daughter Milla and marrying her husband Ryan, she started doing regular gigs. This album is her first. It contains a number of original tracks, mostly written by Klancie and her close friends. 'Right On Time' finds Klancie putting a distinctly personal spin on universal themes like love, loss, conflict, family and desire. It is heavy with references to memories of simpler times and beloved relatives; reflection on lives ruined by addiction; our shared need to love and be loved; and an earnest longing for finding ones' right place and time in this world. Klancie spent 12 months recording Right On Time, which she self-financed and released independently. Throughout the process, she was surrounded by super-talented supporting musicians, including co-producer, engineer & guitarist Benjy Pocock (King Social, Luke O'Shea, Brooke Schubert), beautiful bassist & Backing Vocalist Soni Pocock, multi-instrumentalist (Mandolin, Strings, Banjo & Pedal Steel Player) Troy Engel (Patty Loveless, Tom T Hall, Buddy Jewell), pedal steel, banjo & mandolin guru Dave Ristrim (Luke Bryan), and sensational vocalist Drew Womack (Sons of the Desert, Leanne Womack). One of Klancie's family members recently told her 'Klancie, I have never been a religious person, but when you sing.. its like angels come down from heaven', and this indeed rings true. In releasing her first album, I hope others may feel the beauty of Klancie's character in her music and enjoy the voice that for so many years has been shared with those around her.
