Bateman has worked in television news, radio, film, and print throughout his professional life. Bateman has appeared in a select number of films, and was the creator and Executive Producer of his own talk show "Issues with Brent Bateman," while attending Western Illinois University in 1989. Fresh from college, Brent spent nearly seven years working in the Riverboat casino industry, where he penned his first book, "Licensed To Steal," a behind the scenes look into the unglamorous world of the casino business. During a brief stint as a television reporter in the late 90s, Bateman realized that his true passion was not inside a television studio creating local news. Bateman will appear in "The Fantasy," a feature film he's written based on his time spent in the strip club industry in Los Angeles. (2008) His latest feature length film research for, "The Lincoln Bedroom," will take Bateman back to his home states of Illinois and Iowa, to uncover the true sexuality of the 16th President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln. This film will alter history. Brent has also inked three episodes of a half hour comedy positioned for cable called "The Cleaning Files," based loosely on his year long adventure cleaning homes of the rich, the famous, the poor, and the afflicted in the Los Angeles area.
