Ashley Wright

Ashley 'Smash' Wright is a Louisiana film maker. After years of spending Friday nights having 'movie night' with her family she fell in love. The art of motion pictures represented many things she still today cherishes. Longing to tell stories to help heal the world through writing and directing, Ashley moved to Hollywood in 2005. Over the last 10 years, Ashley has worked hard to educate her self on the industry of this art form. She started as a Production Assistant on major motion pictures. Allowing her to see how many artist make up a film crew. Big budget movies had it all, best gear, best people, best locations, trucks, parking and lots of extra help. In 2012 Ashley moved back home to Louisiana. As her home state had become our country's number one film hub. During this time she was introduced to a different art form in film making. That of the Indie Film! Artist with BIG dreams and tiny budgets. Ashley found herself at home among the indie artist. She took on the role of first assistant director and has completed over 30 projects in this role to date. Ascension Artists INC is Ashley's new dream. A company built on teaching artist the industry of film making. A hands on journey into a career that can last a life time and beyond.
