Joell Ann Jacob was born in Providence, RI and started performing on stage when she was a child through public school programs. As an adult, she obtained her Cosmetology license and starting working as a Make-up artist for television, video and film while continuing to perform in local theater and occasional on camera acting gigs. She received performance training at Perishable Theater through it's affiliate teaching programs such as Trinity Repertory and Boston's C.P. Casting and other adult acting continuing education classes. After taking Bel Canto singing lessons, she took a hiatus from acting and joined the original band Groove Clinic, nominated for best original funk band in 1999 in the Providence Phoenix. After moving to CT in 2003, she joined the rock, soul, jazz/blues band Exit 6 and performed with them for 10 years as co-lead vocalist. In 2009, she jumped back into acting with a role in an ensemble cast for the Play "Wild Black Yonder" written by Larry Bloom for the first stage performance at The Katherine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook Ct. Since then she has created a successful career as a Diversified Production Professional, continuing to work as a Make-up artist, on camera actor for commercials, corporate training videos and TV and a Voice Actor for commercials, corporate training, video games and audio-books.
