Jen Friel, Chief Revenue Officer of DropIn, founded her first computer "company" at age 8, teaching adults how to use WordPerfect, Juno and Prodigy. Today, she is considered one of the top women in technology and is known for her website Talk Nerdy To Me, Lover, which has been optioned by Warner Bros. and Jerry Bruckheimer. In August of 2015, Talk Nerdy To Me, Lover was purchased by CBS for a put pilot (a pilot with a penalty if it doesn't get air time). For the past decade, Jen has held various positions in movie marketing and indirect cellular activation sales--and she was a personality on the new startup, LiveVideo.com, while working for one of the principals at MySpace. Jen was part of the three-person team that built the Throwback.to Facebook page (an IAC property) from 4,000 likes to over 500K in less than 9 months, with a routine reach of over 9.4 million. On the small screen, Jen was a part of Comcast's first "social television" network called Vidblogger nation, available for three seasons in over 50 million homes. She was also featured on the first season of the hit CNBC show, West Texas Investors Club, where she pitched her app, Whats Up The App, LLC. She received a $50,000 investment from Rooster McConaughey and Butch Gilliam, and sold WUTA in July of 2015 to local business owners in Islamorada, FL. Jen speaks nationally at conferences such as The Women Powering Technology Summit and The Social Media Strategies Summit, and she was invited by California State University to be a Professor For A Day for two consecutive years. Jen resides with the love of her life, her 70 lb puppy, Buster Brown, in Los Angeles.
