Jason Haitkin

Jason Haitkin was born on the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen in New York City. Ever since his youth he has had a bad temper which his father Carl needed to correct. He enrolled Jason at Strakynski's Tae Kwon Do school at the age of 5. There Jason learned the essentials of what it took to have discipline, while learning how to defend himself on the mean streets of Hell's Kitchen. At the age of 10 tragedy struck Jason when his father Carl and his wife Barb got divorced moving Jason with his father to an even tougher Spanish Harlem. It is here where Jason earned the nickname Catfish, a name he doesn't like to be called. The kids teased him because he was able to grow a full mustache by the age of ten thus giving him the name. Enraged, Jason remembered his teachings of martial arts and kept his cool until one day a student picked a fight with him. Jason gave him a 360 degree flying spin kick and knocked the poor sap down. On this day kids no longer called him Catfish...it was White Cobra. By the age of 15 Jason was now a 4th dan black belt in Tae Kwon Do and had aspirations of opening up a school. Funds were tight so he went back to his old Master Strazynski and asked if he wanted to open a school with him. Strazynski declined, so Cobra was forced to put this dream aside for a while and test his luck in TV. Jason landed a job at Fuse working on heavy metal music shows when the biggest break of his life came before him. He landed a role as "Construction Worker" in the upcoming film "How To Seduce Difficult Women". This role was a pivotal turning point in Jason's career. The money he earned helped him finally reach his life long dream of opening his own martial arts school. He chose the name Carl Strazynski's Art Of Spin Kicks as the name of his new dojo. Carl for his father, and Strazynski for his former master. Jason plans to start teaching kids in 2008 when the dojo opens back in his home town of hell's kitchen.
