Mark Davis is a Chicago-based lighting console programmer and previous child actor. From the ages of 9 to 15, Mark acted in features, television, commercials, shorts, and live theater in the Southeast. His time on set made him interested in life behind the camera, which he began exploring at UNCSA's summer film school as a teenager. He developed a focus on cinematography while studying Radio/TV/Film at Northwestern University. After graduation, he began freelancing and co-founded Atlas Lighting LLC, a lighting & grip rental house in Chicago. Mark left Atlas Lighting in 2019 to focus full-time on his career as a programmer. He has worked as a commercial gaffer, key grip, and programmer for brands including Facebook, Lincoln, Wal-Mart, Aleve, Art Van, and Grant Thornton. While focusing professionally on console programming, Mark continues to use side projects to explore ideas in cinematography and lighting design.
