After spending the better part of the 90s in Seattle, Mark relocated to Belfast, Northern Ireland to front Electro/Industrial band Fragile Human Organs, recording an E.P. and various singles which took the new Internet Download Generation by storm. FHO single 'Lapis Lazuli' ended up in the top 100 downloads in Australia on mp3.com Australia as well as being compared to bands such as Tool and Nine Inch Nails, helping the band develop their 'on line' cult audience. Though Cowden left the band in 2004 to pursue film and television ventures, Fragile Human Organs can still be heard on radio stations throughout the world as well as Industrial Music clubs in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Denmark and the UK. 2007-Present Cowden works in film and television, working on a number of feature films which have been released worldwide and is a regular cast member on the BBC show "Northern Ireland's Greatest Haunts" where he uses audio/visual equipment to record paranormal phenomena in some of Ireland's most haunted locations. A book 'Spirit Voices; The First Live Conversation Between Worlds' written by Mark L Cowden which was published and released worldwide in 2011, documents the recording of, what many experts believe to be, the first properly documented case of a live conversation between the living and the dead. With BBC cameras rolling, Cowden made the recording in an apparent haunted hotel in Ireland. (2012) Mark L. Cowden continues to research paranormal accounts in various locations across the world and features in many magazine articles, television programs, and various other forms of media on this topic.
