Nikhil Nagesh Bhat

In the capacity of co-director, Nikhil has been a part of the award winning feature, Shoonya directed by Arindam Mitra. Apart from being the Creative Consultant for Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday, he was also the Head of Promotion for the film. Nikhil has worked as co-director on award-winning documentaries such as Seven Tales from an Island, and as associate director on The Great Indian Tiger Project and Extras. He has written the story for the film Ek Accident, a psychological horror, directed by Dadu and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. Nikhil's feature debut as writer-director, Salunn, premiered at the Cairo Film Festival in 2009 and won the Remi Award for Best Film in Comedy at Worldfest Houston Film Festival and the Golden Ace Award for Special Cinematic Experience at the Las Vegas Film Festival. Nikhil's other directorial ventures include the short film Biogas ka Bindaas Business, the feature Brij Mohan Amar Rahe which premiered at SAIFF (New York), and series such as Rashbhari, produced by Applause and streaming on Amazon Prime, and The Gone Game, which was filmed entirely during the lock down and has been receiving both critical and commercial praise. Nikhil is currently directing his feature project Hurdang.
