John Logan Short

John Logan Short, born in Glasgow to Theatrical parents, Buddy Logan (John Short), singer and entertainer, and Joan, dancer. Buddy Logan is brother of Jimmy Logan, comedian and actor, and Annie Ross, Jazz singer and actress. They were members of Scotland's famous theatrical family, The Logan Family. Acted from the age of 11 in various TV productions including: This Man Craig; Doctor Finlay's Casebook; The Revenue Men; Burns (with John Cairney) and in the film Flash the Sheepdog. After working back stage for my uncle at his New Metropole Theatre I attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and became a stage and company manager, working primarily for Bernard Delfont productions and Harold Fielding productions. Was Tommy Steel's stage manager for 10 years, including 1 year run in the West End and in Australia, Denmark, Sweden and Japan. Moved to Front of House at the Churchill Theater Bromley for 24 years. Now presenting entertaining talks on theatre.
