As a writer and actress, Angela has penned comedy pilots for television, which HBO affiliates deemed "funny with broad appeal" and performed at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater and the classic St. George Theatre in New York City. Her film and television work includes Oscar winners Al Pacino, Paul Haggis, and Barry Levinson. The Miami Herald recently touted Angela as an "Actress on the Rise." With two feature screenplays in the works and a hilarious dating book for college girls flying out of her, she's pitching the next hot female driven comedy for television, The Change. In the meantime, Angela directed and produced the quirky comedy, "One Little Shot in the D*ck." In 2012, Angela founded Charley Bear Productions Inc, with a vision to affect change through art, showcasing the female perspective in front of and behind the camera. Charley Bear produced its first dramatic short film, "Without Grace", starring Angela alongside award winning actress Ann Dowd (Compliance, The Leftovers) and tenured screen actor John Doman (Blue Valentine, The Wire, The Affair). Angela penned the script and under the guidance of producer Scott Franklin (Black Swan, The Wrestler) brought on the talented Deborah Kampmeier to direct (Sundance Grand Jury Prize Nominee, Hounddog). With a degree from Emory University in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, Angela is fascinated with the brain and the overlap of art and science. The synergy of this will be actualized in her upcoming Narrative Virtual Reality experience, which advanced to the final round of the Sundance New Frontier Labs in 2017. Her love for advocating peace crosses over to her filmmaking, as does her passion for storytelling that promotes healing and change.
