Christopher R. Bishop was born on Tuesday, June 26th, 1979 in Niskayuna, New York, just outside Albany. From an early point in his life, he had a keen interest in the performing arts. While he had initially considered acting as a potential future, his plans changed while in junior high when he realized he had a knack for story-telling. As the years progressed, Bishop continued to develop his interests and began focusing on film production and writing. While never seriously considering making a living at film production, he sought a degree in the social sciences. It was during his college years that he applied, strictly on a whim, to the school of cinema and television at the University of Southern California. While he was rejected, he was accepted to their summer workshop which focused on directing and producing through Universal Studios. Upon completion of this class, he returned home and drifted from job to job for the better part of a year. It was during this time he realized how much he had enjoyed film production. At a lunch meeting with Raymond Shepherd, he convinced Mr. Shepherd to front $800 for a short film entitled "Used People". The film was an experiment for Bishop to see if he could bring a project to fruition outside the classroom environment. The film was a success. It helped Bishop establish himself as a bold and ambitious film maker and it gave him the confidence to begin preproduction on "Corruption", which he had first written during his high school years. Joining in partnership with Mary Shinners, Bishop and Shinners would assemble a cast and crew of local and region artists to help create this new feature film. As of the fall of 2007, Bishop is residing in upstate New York and is developing the four sequels to "Corruption" as well as several other projects. He still enjoys a close working partnership with Mary Shinners as well as many of his cast and crew members from "Corruption".
