Eric Martinez has been a part of the entertainment industry for 27 years, starting out first in music. As a singer Eric was with multiple R&B groups before finally landing with the group Shades of Soul where he performed all over the country and most notably on Showtime singing the National Anthem before a world title boxing match for then World Champion Johnny Tapia at The Pit. As a group they performed for more than 5 years together. Eric then moved from performing to management and running his own independent label, Powermovesent Entertainment, where he managed the careers of over 40 artists in the R&B and Hip-Hop genre. With his label his artists enjoyed success on many levels performing on tours opening for national acts like Destiny's Child, Usher, Snoop Dogg, TI, Busta Rhymes and many more. Eric was also invited to speak and participate in music panels and events like The Billboard Music Awards and Conferences, Latin Billboard Awards, The Grammys, ASCAP Music Cafe at the Sundance Film Festival, MTV Awards, The Tastemakers Conference and The Texas Music Summit to name a few. He also organized several brand deals with Coca-Cola getting his artists on 50,000 CD's to help promote a new product called "Sprite Remix," and he worked with McDonald's to promote 75,000 CD's for their new "Late Night" menu. Eric's drive impressed his peers so much that they gave him the nickname "Latin Diddy," and his work ethic was equally impressive as he gained the respect of people he could later call mentors: Jermaine Dupri (SoSo Def), Lenny S (Rocafella/Def Jam), Harve Pierre (Bad Boy), and more as this list could go on and on of the names he still associates himself with in the music business. At one point Eric was on his way to becoming the CEO of the Latin version of one of the most successful and well know Hip- Hop Magazines in the world, The Source, but the magazine was in transition and the deal was never executed due to a change in The Source's management that decided to take the brand in a different direction. After 12 years in the music business Eric decided to chase a life long dream of movies and becoming an actor. Applying the same tenacity he used in music he landed his first role in a film with Christian Slater and Jenna Dewan entitled "Love Lies Bleeding" that has been on Encore, HBO and Showtime. From there Eric learned quickly that it was feast or famine and decided to build a team around him that would help him on his path. Since then Eric has appeared in several of Television's most popular series like Better Call Saul, The Night Shift, Scoundrels, and In Plain Sight; as well as in films with names like Vivica Fox, Stephen Lang, Jenna Dewan, Jaime Lynn Sigler, Quinton Aaron, Elizabeth Pena, Noel G, Virginia Madsen and Danny Trejo. With over 40 films to his credit and numerous TV shows Eric decided to move on to producing and directing. Since then Eric has successfully co-produced 6 projects that have been released on networks like Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, and Starz Network. He is currently co-producing 9 features with a total budget of 34.5 million dollars and will be making his directorial debut in 2019 with the first of 4 films that his own production company Dream House Productions will be releasing. When not filming Eric can be found doing motivational speeches at schools and events all over the country about his campaign "I Got Your Back". An Anti-Bullying Campaign that focuses on the importance of being kind and communication with each other; as well as touching on following your dreams and being pro-active in your life. Altogether Eric has spoken to over 4 million students nationwide and the numbers continue to grow. As an Ambassador to anti-bullying programs in Australia and London, he continues to serve in this role around the world. Eric was a keynote speaker for Lulac during President Barack Obama's first Campaign in Washington D.C. where he impressed Senator Hilary Clinton so much that she invited him to speak in Chicago as well. For his philanthropy Eric has been featured in numerous publications such People Magazine, Cigar & Spirits Magazine, as well as on CNN/HLN, NFL Network, USA Network, Sirius XM, and NFL Character Counts. Eric has donated his time to numerous charities around the country as well and has been a celebrity guest at some of the biggest events in the country including Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Weekend, MTV Awards, BET Awards, The Emmy's, The Grammys, The World Series and many more Next up for Eric will be his role as the CEO for Dream House Post Productions, LLC, a multi-million dollar facility in Albuquerque, NM that will be filling a much needed gap in the already booming industry there. DHPP will be a full scale post house with the ability to handle post on any size of film or TV series that comes through the doors. With the projected success of his new company, Eric's plans for growth will include a full scale Academy for the Arts where students will learn every aspect of film making from grip and lighting to camera work, producing, and acting. Eric's plan for the Academy is to help the upcoming surplus of NM actors and crew members by giving them a fighting chance to work on all the projects coming to NM. Eric also looks to open a non-profit event center with a full scale 150,000 sq ft athletic training facility and he is currently working on the release of his first book entitled "Relentless" due to be finished in 2019
