Akash Chopra (Akash Sagar Chopra), is an acclaimed actor, composer, singer and director. Akash, the youngest grandson of Dr. Ramanand Sagar began his film and television career by working with his grandfather as an Actor at the age of 4. At the young age of 11, Akash began working as a Music Composer for various television series. His first film as a composer was the much acclaimed "1971". ("National Award" winner for the Best Hindi Feature Film - 2007 and winner for the Best Sound Design - 2007) At the age of 16, Akash was one of the youngest composers to have composed music for an entire feature film. During the course of his musical exposure, Akash trained in Theatre and the Performance Arts as an Actor, personally under stalwarts from the 'National School Of Drama'. Eventually forming a theatre company known as 'Prasang'. Akash worked as an actor for 3 years, touring, conducting and participating in various workshops, improvisational sessions across multiple cities and small towns of India and performing in various productions for the stage. His first production was a one-man show called "Sapne Chuttan Dubey Ke", an adaptation of a famous Hindi Satirical Novel called 'Baramasi', where he narrates an entire story as the protagonist and simultaneously portrays 12 characters on stage. The duration of the play was 1 and a ½ hrs. The play being his first earned rave reviews. Akash has also Directed and Produced a large amount of content for Television (both fiction and non fiction).
