Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Thiago grew up being influenced by his family of artists who were always involved with in cinema. He attended the Rudolf Steiner Waldorf school, known for its philosophy in valuing art among other disciplines. He developed even further his taste for art by attending the School Chorus and performing in Carnegie Hall, New York in 1995. He was then cast as the lead character in his first theatre play, "Os Fisicos", from Friedrich Dürrenmatt, igniting his passion for the craft of acting. In 1996 he travelled to Japan as a Foreign Exchange Student and within one year concluded his studies in Tokyo at ICU (International Christian University High School). Returning to Brazil, Thiago studied Law and Acting and got a degree in the later. Having fallen in love with cinema, he decided it was time to become specialized in Cinema Interpretation (Acting). This lead him to working with some of the best directors and acting coaches in Brazil who had worked alongside respectful names in the Brazilian film industry such as Fernando Meirelles - City of God, Hector Babenco - Carandiru, and Jose Padilha - Elite Squad. Being a graduate of the Faculty of Cinema Direction and Production, Thiago pursued his love for the TV and Film Industry and landed himself work as a Casting Producer and Acting Coach. He directed and produced the TV show "Programa Moviola", about the production of short films in the Brazilian market and new talents in the audio-visual market. Seeking a way to learn new cultures and to internationalize his career, Thiago chose New Zealand as his destination as he believes this country has the perfect locations for shooting big productions, and because of his identification and love for the kiwi life style.
