Sarah Sherman is a screenwriter and director from Portland, Oregon whose first feature film was executive produced by Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass and debuted at the 2020 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah under the name Thunderbolt In Mine Eye. It is now streaming on HBO Max as Young Hearts. Onscreen, Sherman can be seen in a television pilot titled Two Dogs that she created and wrote opposite It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton. Most recently, Sherman was hired by Particular Crowd/Mar Vista Entertainment to co-direct family feature Christmas, No Filter, and she directed short film September, which received the Critic's Choice Award at the 2022 Cinema Femme Short Film Fest. In 2023 Sherman will be co-directing Jessica Barr's coming of age feature Mitzvah. She is a frequent collaborator of her brother, the actor Zachary Ray Sherman.
