Ron Penfound

Born in Elyria, Ohio to Archie and Marjorie (Saywell) Penfound. He attended Kenyon College, where he was a classmate of Paul Newman. He transferred to University of Denver to study broadcasting. Began hosting the Captain Penny TV show on WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio on March 2, 1955. The show featured Three Stooges and Little Rascals episodes for its 16-year run with live appearances of Captain Penny and guests. After an appearance by Chuck Connors,Penfound was given a walk-on role on Connors' show The Rifleman.
