Michael Mario Lewis was born December 21, 1987 in Tel Aviv, Israel, to a Jewish family from Italy, Argentina, and the Netherlands, giving him the gift of speaking fluent Hebrew, English, and Italian. Growing up in Tel-Aviv Michael was known at a young age for his athletic prowess in the pool. At 14 he was ranked as one of the best swimmers in the world for his age group. His swimming career came to a halt after suffering from a genetic heart problem forcing him to undergo heart surgery at a young age. After his swimming career ended his love for basketball blossomed, and became his passion. Leading him to play for AND 1 Israel and Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Well known for his acrobatic dunks and on court agility, Michael was proclaimed the "Hebrew Jordan" by Israeli basketball fans. At the age of 16 Michael had his first encounter with the "show business". An amateur photographer noticed Michael with his shirt off and gave him his business card, asking him to model for him. After a short session of pictures Michael tried his luck out with all the big agencies in Israel, and all the agencies turned him down. At that point with everything he had going for him in basketball, Michael decided to give up modeling, only until he met his future personal manager who helped him land his first audition through a relative. Ever since that first audition Michael's life change dramatically. At the age of 17 Michael conquered his 1st big campaign in Israel for a fashion company called EL NINIO. At the same time Michael started writing a column for a very famous site in Israel called Walla. Michael wrote about his life as a teenager, and invited readers to follow his journey through the entertainment business in Israel. His column rated number one by readers in Israel and became the first column in history to have more readers then the most popular Israeli magazines in circulation. On average he had more then 3000 comments every week, making him the youngest columnist in history to do so. After gaining fame as a column writer, Michael passed the audition for the most successful soap opera in Israel ever called Ha Alufa -"The Champions". At the age of 18 Michael was selected as the main spokesman and model for the biggest fashion company in Israel FOX, next to Sports Illustrated model Esti Ginzburg. Fox Fashion has 200 franchises around the world, which Michael became the face of. Since then Michael's career began to take off on a different level. He signed a deal with the biggest food company in Israel Osem for a one-year contract, and was their spokesman for a whole new line of snacks released to the market. Michael also took part in Israel's Top Model competition and has been on more then 25 different magazine covers in the past four years. At the age of 20 Michael was the first one to sign a talent contract with the biggest network in Israel YES as an exclusive actor for that network. Michael also created his own gym workout routine for teenagers, that had more then 300,000 downloads by mobile and Internet around the world. By the age of 21 Michael accomplished more projects in his entertainment industry then any other Israeli entertainment star till the age of 30. At the age of 21 Michael also took part in three musicals that became very popular in Israel. One being Hercules"- playing the part of Hercules, Around the World in 80 Days, and the other a Hanukkah production that's been running for the past 40 years called FESTIGAL. Michael has also worked and is represented by print agencies in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and England. Most recently, Michael won Dancing With The Stars in Israel, some believe because he was he crowd favorite. At the age of 22 Michael decided to move to New York City to try his luck in the biggest entertainment industry in the world.
