Georgina Moffat was born in London on the 22nd August 1989 and is an Australian-British writer, singer, songwriter and actress. She is a member of the Beerbohm family. As a child, Georgina grew up in Budapest, Paris and Amsterdam with her parents and sister and then later spent her time between the UK and Australia. Georgina reached commercial success as a teen in 2007 as part of channel 4's teenage drama "Skins". After finishing filming, Georgina attended UCL in London to study philosophy and art history. At this time she also began working as a songwriter and composer, writing initially under a pseudonym and later as "Georgina". Moffat comes from an artistic family, and many members have been highly regarded in the arts and film industries. She is the great-great granddaughter of actor and RADA founder Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree, and the granddaughter of screenwriter and producer Ivan Moffat. Ivan was married to Katherine Smith, daughter of William Henry Smith, 3rd Viscount Hambleden and philanthropist Patricia Herbert. Her great grandmother Iris Tree, was similarly a celebrated actress and poet, known for "La Dolce Vita" and for being the muse of artists Modigliani, Jacob Epstein and Augustus John. Actor Oliver Reed and director Carol Reed were also a part of the Beerbohm family.
