Born in Mante Tamaulipas, Mexico, Pepe Gamez left his home town at 17 to follow his passion for the performing arts. He headed for the bright lights and opportunities of Mexico City in search of becoming an actor. After a few months of working as a model and participating in various national commercials, Pepe joined the prestigious acting school CEA (Center for Artistic Education), part of the television network Televisa, a Mexican multimedia conglomerate, and the largest mass media company in Latin America for the Spanish-speaking world. On graduating the three year course, Pepe was cast as 'Victor' in the international hit television family-drama Rebelde. His work on the show propelled him forward with opportunities to work on other notable shows on the Televisa network including; Pasion, La Fea Mas Bella, Duelo de Pasiones and Mujer Casos de la Vida Real. In 2008 Pepe was quickly becoming Mexico's newest emerging star. He was offered the role of 'Julio Madrigal', one of the principal characters in the popular drama series Juro Que Te Amo and soon after he was series regular, 'Poncho Chamorro', in the hit TV comedy-drama Ni Contigo Ni Sin Ti, which was televised internationally. Pepe made the permanent move to Los Angeles in 2011, where he nurtured his craft with some of Hollywood's top acting and dialect coaches. He soon landed the role of 'Yair' in the popular Telemundo Studio's Pasion Prohibida, which earned him his first 'Premios Tu Mundo' nomination for Best Actor. Shortly after arriving in Hollywood, Pepe booked several guest-star roles on top US TV shows such as The Bridge on FX Network, starring Demian Bichir and Diane Krugar, as well as multiple national commercials for large consumer brands. In 2014 Pepe became one of the leading Latino actors in America. His series regular role, alongside Mexico's critically acclaimed actresses, Kate del Castillo and Adriana Barraza, Dueños del Paraíso, premiered in January 2015 on the popular Latin channel NBCU with over 3 million viewers. The show aired in Mexico, Chile and the Dominican Republic, ahead of its worldwide general release. Pepe Gamez is most known for Falsa Identidad (El Deivid) and Jenny Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio (Jenny's second husband Juan Lopez) both TV series are streaming on Netflix around the world. When not acting, Pepe enjoys supporting various charities close to his heart and exploring his new surroundings of Los Angeles. Pepe's Latino charm and down-to-earth personality has quickly made him a much photographed public figure across America and Mexico.
