Sandra was born and raised in Mexicali, Baja California. Her love for the performing arts began at a very young age when she would perform in school plays and dance recitals. The niece of Amparo Montes, a renowned Mexican Bolero singer and cousin to the iconic Mexican actress Maria Felix, Sandra set out to pursue her career in the United States. She began modeling and enrolled in theatre acting classes in San Diego and while acting on a local play, she was signed by a top local agent. Sandra was cast in James Cameron's epic film "Titanic" where she played alongside Kathy Bates and Francis Fisher. She landed her first TV role in a series called "Reyes y Rey" and co-starred and executive produced a series of TV & Radio morning shows for Univision that would support and inform Latinos in the US on Immigration issues and laws. She continued to work with prominent theatrical and vocal coaches while participating in local plays that led her to finally relocate to Los Angeles. She attended UCLA's School of Broadcast and Journalism, continued her work in print and television as well as Voice Over work. She has worked with many acclaimed directors, including Luis Mandoki, The Coen Brothers, James Cameron, Jared Eberhardt, Francisco Pugliese, Alfredo de Villa, Simon Brand and Arlo Rosner, among others.
