A graduate from Griffith College in 'Music Producing for Games & Animation'. Maria's original compositions have been featured on many TV & Radio programs i.e RTE, Virgin Media One, TG4 & SKY including live performances & interviews on Nationwide, Ireland AM, Seoige & O'Shea, Glor Tire. She has won several Awards for her original works. Extending her compositional skills, composing music & songwriting commercially not just for FILM & TV but also specialising in Games & Animation. Her song 'Light up the Dark' was runner up with Snow Patrols song 'Run' as soundtrack for a feature documentary titled 'The Letters'. Renowned Vocalist & Multi-Instrumentalist, listening to samples of her original album 'Blue Mandolin', one can hear Maria's skilled songwriting craft & music compositions when it comes to writing music for visuals. As a touring recording artist, Maria has performed Nationally and Internationally from New York, Nashville & California where she resided for several years perfecting her repertoire performing at hit venues such as Nashville's Bluebird Cafe, The House of Blues (LA), NY's world famous Mercury Lounge playing alongside Bob Wooten (Johnny Cash's Band), Raul Malo (The Mavericks), Hal Ketchum, Hot House Flowers, Damien Rice, Eleanor McEvoy & Nathan Carter. She headlined the 'Angelica Huston Gala Event' at Beverly Hilton, Los Angeles & was awarded "Best Celtic Sound' from the 'NY International Film & Music Festival'. Interviewed with Mary Kennedy on RTE TV programme Nationwide performing her original songs from her award winning album titled 'Blue Mandolin' produced by Bill Shanley. She has made several guest performances in the National Concert Hall & Cork Opera House which included Youtube sensation Fr. Ray Kelly. She performed her self penned song 'Quiet Man' to Hollywood Star MAUREEN O'HARA on her 90th Birthday. Credits: Her songwriting credits include co-writes with Nashville No.1 hit writer Kostas Lasarides (What a Cryin Shame' for the Mavericks) & Charles Quarto (songwriter for Crosby, Stills & Nash; Garth Brooks), as well as Ireland's very own Charlie McGettigan. Maria is 100% owner of all publishing of her works making it accesible to license her work from Maria directly . Adding another string to her boe, Maria is also a past graduate from Pulse College with certification in 'Audio & Music Technology'. A user of Pro Tools & Logic Pro X, she is equipped with a built in home studio facilitating both live and virtual instrument recordings, enabling to create on demand meeting the deadlines. She is knowledged in Sound Design, Music Composition with Orchestral scoring, Songwriting & composing Music for Games / Animation (acquainted with FMOD, Twine, Unity).
