Javier Rueda

Javier Rueda (Barcelona, 1982). Producer, filmmaker, film critic, writer and cinematographic exhibitor. Executive director of Aved Producciones since 2003 , an independent production company based in Barcelona, with which he has produced more than a hundred projects, including nine feature films (fiction and documentary). Founding partner in 2016 of Zumzeig Cinecooperativa, a cinema located in Barcelona and dedicated to exhibit independent productions and promote cultural activism. In the field of film theory and analysis he has developed himself as a journalist, film critic and essays writer (three published books, in 2016, 2017 and 2018). He has also been part of the jury in international festivals and has been teacher in various workshops about different cinematography disciplines. Much of his career has been oriented to projects that have a social and / or cultural approach, including several actions in the field of audiovisual social responsibility and the participation in the production of documentaries in different countries of South America and North Africa.
