Martin Williams was born in Sydney but had an international upbringing living in England, Hong Kong, USA, France and Italy. He has studied at the Atlantic Theatre School, The Hub Studio with Kevin Jackson and is a graduate of WAAPA-Acting. He has enjoyed a variety of work, appearing in HBO's 'The Pacific' and Channel 7's 'All Saints', the feature films 'The Directors Cut' and 'The Margin Of Things' and has worked on countless short films and television commercials. Martin was the recipient of the John Muir Award at the Yosemite International Film Festival in 2011 for his short film 'Little Wet Things' that he both wrote and directed. His screenwriting efforts have produced: 'Love & Heartache' - Quarter-finalist in the 2010 Fade-In Awards; 'The Margin Of Things' - Honorable mention in the AAA Screenplay Contest in 2010; 'An Ideal Killer' - Finalist in the thriller/horror/fantasy section of the Creative World Awards in 2010; Semi-finalist in the American Zoetrope in 2010; Semi-finalist in the AAA Screenplay Contest and Scriptapalooza Screenplay Competitions in 2011; Quarter-finalist in the 2014 Nicholls Fellowship award. Martin is currently enjoying a variety of acting work, exploring various storytelling forms including independent films and theatre and is looking forward to putting the finishing touches on his next feature screenplay.
