Jade Alexander is a British/Australian actor and Producer. Born in Malaysia, to Chinese/Mongolian mother and British father, Jade is based mostly in London where she runs her production company Little Jade Productions. Jade began acting at the age of 7 being cast as the lead role in Australian mini-series 'The Adventures of Les Darcy'. Jade plays viola, piano and sings. After continuing to perform on stage in both music and acting, she was offered a place at a prestigious acting school in Sydney (Actors College of Theatre and Television). After graduating from drama school Jade continued her career working on the acclaimed Australian TV series Young Lions, and the acclaimed short Le Violoncelle, where Jade stars as Kiki De Montparnasse. Screened at festivals around the world including Montreal Film Festival, Paris, London, and Flickerfest, as well as the Art Gallery of NSW. Since coming to London she has focused on producing films. As a producer Jade Alexander loves finding new ways to bring the audience into the story. From creating the immersive sensory experience 'Black Out' for Asics to the world's first live-action interactive sci-fi film The Complex, she thrives on creative and technical challenges that disrupt the everyday. Her career has taken her to the skies and the seas, shooting 3D aerial and underwater filming in Australia, creating 4D installations and producing 3D projections for Samsung. A rare producer who's technically advanced, detail-oriented and playful in her storytelling, her favourite thing is challenging audiences to contribute to the story and see new points of view, without being preachy or didactic. Jade has also produced the award-winning feature After Death (2012), various sci-fi short films, as well as the viral video, Doritos: A Cheesy Love story about the dangers of palm oil - generating over 6 million views and an official response from PepsiCo.
