Working for more than two decades in the industry, Thomas is known for playing a leading role in advertisement, documentary and feature film work. After co-directing alongside his companion Philipp Kadelbach in the advertisement and music video industry, he has quickly become the most sought after director/cinematographer in the outdoor and action sports world. After his successful feature documentary "Cerro Torre, a snowballs chance in hell" - he now branched out into commercial and feature film shooting. (CO-) Director / DoP - 1998 - now Thomas has shot various music videos and commercials for international brands like: Volkswagen, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Chevrolet, Amnesty International, Caritas, UBS, Burger King, Hornbach, Wrigley's, OMV, Swiss Tourism,.. Author / director / Dop - 2010 - 2013 Directing for Red Bull Media House, Thomas made it his mission to follow world class pro climber David Lama documenting the free climbing ascent of Cerro Torre, known as "the most difficult" mountain to climb. After 3 long years of production, the film changed the face of climbing movies and set new standards in action sports and aerial filmaking. The picture premiered in front of large audience at the San Sebastian Film Festival. Author / director / Dop - 2014 For Autostadt's "Panoramakino" Thomas created a series of 5 Mini-biopics directed an shot by himself to be screened on the largest LED screen in Europe. He employed a specially designed rig with 3 6K cameras to capture the seamless immersive 12K format. DOP - 2017 Thomas signed as DoP for his longtime companion and co-director Philipp Kadelbach on Philipp's feature film "So viel Zeit" for UFA Fiction. Alongside other highly acclaimed german actors the picture stars Jürgen Vogel, Jan-Josef Liefers, Armin Rohde and Ritchie Müller.
