Nick Thorpe is best known as the bass player in the band Curiosity Killed the Cat and enjoyed a brief but highly successful career with the band. Their first album, Keep Your Distance, entered the UK chart at No.1 and the singles from the album also charted: Down to Earth (No.3), Ordinary Day (No.11), Misfit (No.7), and Free (No.56). The stand-alone single Name and Number reached No.14. Nick is credited as songwriter on ''Red Lights'', which appears in the film _American Psycho (1990)_. He was also fortunate to work with Andy Warhol: the latter appeared in - and co-directed - the Curiosity video ''Misfit''. It was one of the last projects Warhol would work on before his untimely death. In 1995, Nick and Migi Drummond (the drummer for Curiosity) set up Naked Records.
