Shola Ajayi

Olubusola M. Ajayi was born in Ibadon located in Nigeria, Africa December 20, 1979. Her parents moved to Miami, Florida soon after and Shola spent her childhood splitting her time between the US and Nigeria. She studied Photography at the University of Central Florida in 1998 and went on to pursue a Masters in Film Production at Boston University in 2005. Shola focuses on creating films exploring social issues amongst people of color while also developing stories and images that present positive images of Africa and Africans. Presently, Shola lives in Brooklyn, New York and works as an educator and filmmaker.
