Ahmed Haddad is a Syrian writer, director and actor, born in Aleppo, Syria in 1940. He holds a degree in law and another in Arabic literature, and he is the brother of sports artist and actor Khalil Haddad. He contributed to the establishment of the Arab Youth Club, the Artists Syndicate branch, the People's Theater, the Jurists Association, and the Dramatic Troupe. He was president of the Arab Youth Club for ten years, head of the Artists Syndicate in Aleppo for three terms, and director of the National Theatre. He was elected as a member of the Syndicate's Central Council in Damascus. He is one of the first founders of the theatrical movement in the city of Aleppo, one of the founders of the Clock Theater troupe in Aleppo with Abdul Wahab Al-Jarrah and Ghassan Makkansi, and he has a great deal in raising a generation of artists who gained from his experience and knowledge.
