Ryan Shovey

Ryan Shovey is a Writer/Director with over a dozen short films under his belt, along with multiple feature screenplays which he readily pitches in effort to get his films made. He won the CINE Golden Eagle Award For Excellence for his short film adaptation of The Tell-Tale Heart, which is also used in school curriculums around the world focusing on American Literature. His screenplays have also placed in several competitions such as a Quarter Finalist in the Page Screenwriting Awards and a Finalist in Stage 32's Search For New Blood screenplay competition. Outside of films, Ryan enjoys his life with his adopted dog, named after Charlie Chaplin, and has also been a self-taught musician since childhood. But, his first love is diving into the cold, dark gritty world of horror films and gothic stories.
