Allegra Riggio is an on-air personality for both Television and Radio. She was born in New York to a Trinidadian mother; her father is a United States citizen of Italian and Polish heritage. When Allegra was seven years old, her father received an appointment in the U.S. Foreign Service; her family relocated to São Paolo, Brazil, where they lived for two years, eventually returning to the U.S. and settling in South Florida. In 1993 Allegra gave in to the inexorable pull of South Beach, just as the nightlife culture was exploding. She worked and modeled by day, lead the fabulous life at night, and was soon part of national advertising campaigns, touring with Julio Iglesias, and being featured in local fashion shows. Still in her teens, Allegra enjoyed becoming a Miami celebrity, gracing the shot-on-site pages of every local magazine and newspaper, and being featured as one of Ocean Drive's "Hottest Locals," while a modeling cameo in Cocaine Cowboys proclaimed her the face of the renaissance of South Beach. Allegra also became a highly sought-after nightclub lighting director; from '98 onward she's been a favorite of many of the world's most popular DJs, including Paul Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, Pete Tong, and Sasha and Digweed. In 2002, Allegra moved back to her hometown of New York, where she applied her exotic looks, natural comedic wit and attitude to on-air hosting. She's been featured on mun2, HDnet, Nikki TV, the Alternative Oscars, and hosted "Underground: Miami," a documentary. In 2010 she split her time between Los Angeles, Miami and New York, and was busy hosting and reporting for various outlets, including: Sirius XM Radio (Area Channel) and Dance TV (Portugal), The Rock & Roll Report, as well as being featured as a model on Miami.com and mota.com. Allegra is writing, hosting and filming multiple webisode series, which combine her background in electronic dance music with her new life in comedy, television and film. She has a handful of films coming out, including Into the Equinox, which was shot on location in Alaska, and Crossroads; filmed in LA. In the Fall, Allegra is extremely excited to be supporting superstar DJ/Producer David Guetta for a weekly gig at XS Nightclub at The Wynn, Las Vegas, beginning September 2014.
