Joe hails from Miami, Florida originally. At 5 he walked into a theater with his family to watch "Jurassic Park" in 1993 and 10 minutes in he knew he wanted to make movies. Growing up he helped on several small productions with his writer/poet sister Amy Serrano. He was a grip on the Emmy nominated human rights documentary "Cafe con Leche". He would go on to help his sister Amy with other human rights projects in various production roles including but not limited to sound technician, camera operator, and security. The other productions included "A Woman's Place", "Adiós Patria", and "The Sugar Babies" in 2007. In 2011 he relocated to Mobile, Alabama. In 2013 he wrote a short political thriller that was filmed in Montgomery, Alabama called "The Devil's Hand" and was directed by Jimmie Rogers. In 2016 he decided to pursue the career he'd always secretly aspired to as an actor. He has been an extra on productions being shot in the area including but not limited to "The Friend" (2019), and faith based film "I Still Believe". Joseph continues to work as a background performer in the Mobile area in 2020. His life long goal is to improve his acting and physical appearance so significantly that he might one day be cast as a super hero as he's an adamant comic book fanatic and Kevin Feige is one of his personal real life super heroes.
