Lauren Ashburn is a frequent Fox News commentator who appears with Bill O'Reilly, Neil Cavuto and on the Sunday program, MediaBuzz. She has also written numerous columns for the Fox News website on such topics as women in the workplace, motherhood issues, and her views as a pro-life Catholic. She's chronicled the trials and tribulations of balancing her career with the demands of raising three obstreperous children. Ashburn, who developed and appeared in regular segments for PBS NewsHour, and CBS This Morning, has also appeared on MSNBC, CNN, and other outlets as a political and media analyst. She is a weekly contributor to The Hill. She is the president and CEO of Ashburn Media Company, a media consulting and production firm she founded in 2010. Prior to establishing her company, Ashburn was Managing Editor of Gannett Broadcasting and USA Today Live directing its television bureau and providing content to 22 Gannett television stations and websites. She executive produced documentaries, series and a reality show. Beginning her career at USA Today in 2000, Ashburn was a USA Today Anchor and Correspondent She's covered political conventions, 9/11, natural disasters, Congress, and has interviewed U.S. Presidents, Ambassadors, and high-profile celebrities. Before arriving at USA Today, Ashburn worked as a reporter/anchor with WJLA- TV, ABC affiliate in Washington, DC, and at WHP-TV, CBS affiliate in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as a reporter/morning anchor. She has won several awards for her reporting and producing. Ashburn received her Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia University and her Bachelor's Degree from Albright College. She was awarded Albright's Young Alumna Achievement Award for career performance. She lives in Washington, DC, with her husband and three children.
