Zachary Laoutides is an American actor and writer born in Chicago. In 2008 Laoutides was the finalist for Simon Fuller's XIX Entertainment nationwide talent search for new actors. Laoutides became solely selected representing the best in the United States. In 2014 Laoutides and Mónica Esmeralda León formed the first Latino film studio Ave Fenix Pictures in Chicago and the Midwest. They are also founders of the cinematic approach today coined as La Raza filmmaking. Laoutides earned recognition for his role, writing and acting in Adios Vaya Con Dios an Official Selection at the 2014 Bel Air Film Festival. In 2016 Laoutides wrote and acted in Arise from Darkness with critics likening his performance to Javier Bardem's character Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men. In 2017 the Huffington Post praised Laoutides enactment as homage to Montgomery Clift and Marlon Brando for the portrayal of Louis Katz in the film Black Ruby. The film earned Laoutides nominations in London, Rome and wins in Los Angeles. Laoutides was named Mogul's Next Generation of Hollywood's Rising Stars for 2019.
