Serafin Garcia

Serafin Garcia (born 29 July 1916) was a popular Spanish - Filipino baritone singer, radio personality and actor, starring in at least nine Filipino movies from 1939 to 1947. His first role was in Biyak na bato (1939). His career was interrupted by the Japanese invasion of the Philippines (1942 to 1945) during World War II. Following the war, he returned to movies in 1946, starring in G.I. Fever (1946) with Lilian Velez. Later, he became a diplomat, and arrived in the US in 1949 as a member of the Philippine Consulate, and in 1959 he was part of the Philippine Legation in Buenos Aires. He later became the Philippine deputy ambassador to Spain.
