Alexander Javier Leaty was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to Cuban parents, he is the youngest of four boys. When he was three his parents moved to Newark, New Jersey where he was raised. At the age of sixteen his brother took him to New York to see Miss Saigon on Broadway. The play inspired him to become an actor. He did not do any theater in High School, however his Senior year after performing in front of his Psychology class in a role play, his teacher told him that he should pursue acting. With that encouragement in mind he took acting classes in College, in Performing Arts Studios, and in his University to perfect his craft. He went on several auditions and on his fourth audition Alex landed his first professional theatre role as a Military Doctor named Adam, in the Tony Award winning play, "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me". He received rave reviews from his home town newspaper and from the Palm Beach Post. He went on to do several more stage plays and eventually transitioned to the screen. Since then Alexander has worked on numerous television shows, feature films, short films and commercials. Besides being an Actor, Alexander is also a Screenwriter, Cinematography, Video Editor, Producer and Director. Alexander received an AA degree in Film Communication from Palm Beach Community College, and a BA degree in Multimedia Studies: Film and Video from Florida Atlantic University.
