Lil Chuuuch, an underground rapper from Chicago, is the son of a popular radio disc jockey on Chicago's number one urban station, WGCI 107.5. Chu attended St. Ignatius high school on West Roosevelt Rd. and played varsity basketball for the Wolfpack. His love and talent for the game ended him up at The University of Miami with the Hurricanes, however after just one year he decided to focus on entertainment instead. While on a trip to New York City in the summer of 2007 visiting friends of the family, Lil Chuuuch found himself in the borough of Brooklyn at the exact same time as the academy award winning director, Ridley Scott was filming the 1970's based major motion picture, "American Gangster." Wearing his hair braided in cornrows at the time, Lil Chuuuch decided to take them out and approach Mr. Scott with his own 70's style afro and ambition. Seeing the determination in Chu's eyes and the hairstyle befitting of the period piece, Ridley decided to include Lil Chuuuch in the film as a drug dealer alongside fellow Chicago native rapper and actor, "Common." With the successful major motion picture, "American Gangster" under his belt, Lil Chuuuch then found himself in Los Angeles, California on an audition for another period piece to be directed by yet another academy award winning director, Quentin Tarantino. The movie was "Django Unchained," and the role was that of the character named, "Blueberry," a slave turned killer deep in the woods of Texas in the year 1861. "Django Unchained" went on the be Mr. Tarantino's highest grossing film to date. Lil Chuuuch still lives south side Chicago, Illinois.
