George Stamou obtained his marketing and advertising degree from Deree College, Athens, Greece. After completing his studies he worked in various advertising agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Erickson and Leo Burnett. He created and produced various advertising campaigns for clients such as Tia Maria, Drambuie, Olympic Airways, Levi Strauss and Lufthansa to name a few. He went on to become an associate producer for Reuters in Athens, and from there to producing a weekly television show featuring automobiles for Antenna TV. In 1996, Mr. Stamou moved to New York to further his career. He is the owner of Divine Media Group, LLC, which encompasses an advertising division as well as the production division, Divine Productions. Mr. Stamou has been producing news segments and documentaries for the European networks RAI, BBC, Mega TV, Antenna, ERT. He also co-produced 10 episodes for the hit television series "Vera Sto Deksi (Wedding Band)" which aired on Mega TV in Greece and its satellite platform. He also produced the New York auditions for the European version of "So You Think You Can Dance". In 2007 Stamou produced the Mega TV Greek television series "On 31st Street". He also co-produced the feature film "Athanasia" which is based in New York City and Greece and stars Robert H. Thompson and Stavroula Logothettis. It won a Fipresci award at the 49th Annual Thessaloniki Film Festival.
