Barry Koen-Butt, born Barclay Koen-Butt in Toronto, Canada was a character actor mostly known for featured background roles throughout the early to late1990s. He was discovered after attending a casting call for extras to appear in the TV movie, Woman on Trial: The Lawrencia Bembenek Story. Pulled from a line up of acting hopefuls, he was cast as Federal Marshall to escort the lead actor, Tatum O'Neil, through an airport. Since Bembenek was tall and O'Neil short, Koen-Butt's height accentuated the stature of Ms. O'Neil so he was replaced by another actor for the scene. He subsequently appeared in over 100 films and TV shows and movies including 17 episodes of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues as an undercover police officer and the original X-Men film.
