Tracie Young (billed as 'Tracie!' between 1982 and 1984) is an English pop singer who achieved success in the 1980s after signing to Paul Weller's Respond Records label, and then singing on The Jam single, Beat Surrender. She had success in the UK charts between 1982 and 1984, both as a solo artist and with The Style Council. In the 1990s she became a radio presenter. She signed to Cherry Red Records in 2009 and released two albums; a re-issue of her debut LP Far From The Hurting Kind, with added singles and bonus tracks, and a previously unreleased album titled No Smoke Without Fire. Tracie occasionally still performs and appears on TV.
