Romina Cocca, born in Argentina, started there her drama and musical theatre training in her teens, and then went on to work in theatre and as a TV show host. In her early twenties she moved to New York City to complete her acting studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and the HB Studio (Uta Hagen). She lived and worked in film and TV in México, and finally settled in Barcelona, where besides graduating from the Meisner Technique Program with teachers Javier Galitó-Cava, Rachael Adler and M. Graham Smith, she took special courses and masterclasses with directors such as Marco Calvani, Julio Manrique, Alfredo Sanzol, Clara Segura, Tom Bentley-Fisher, Marcelo Katz, Jesús Font, Luci Lenox, Pep Armengol and Lluïsa Castell. She is a cast member of the TV series "The Hockey Girls" (Netflix/ TV3) and has appeared in TV shows like "Kubala, Moreno i Manchón" (TV3), "Psicodriving" (Antena 3) or "La Peluquería" (RTVE). She has acted in short films and movies such as "Una mañana de ensueño", directed by Albert Pintó, "Reflections", directed by Bryan Goeres and "Noche Transfigurada", directed by Alexia Muiños; and has also worked under the direction of Bigas Luna and Ventura Pons. In 2019 she performed in the plays "Persones Potencialment Perillosas" (Dir. Roger Torns, Teatre Tantarantana), "Dos Familias" (Dir. Sergio Arróspide, cía. Dos Familias) and "La nada" (Dir. Gisela Arnao, Short+Sweet Hollywood Festival). Among her previous work we can find "Microporno por dinero" (Dir. Pablo Álvarez, Teatreneu), "Quasi, Maine" (Dir. Ramón Garrido, Teatre del Raval), "Familia" (Dir. Xavi Álvarez), "La més forta" (Dir. Nicolás Rivero) or "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (The Unconventionalists, Teatreneu). As a stand-up comedian, she is a member of the feminist comedy show "Calladitas estáis más guapas" (El Molino, Sala Ars, Teatro Regina) and regularly performs in various shows and venues in Barcelona, both in spanish and in english.
