Steven Garbas

Steven Garbas is a Toronto based filmmaker, producer, and author. Garbas wrote, directed, produced, and edited Peppergrass (2021) a gothic thriller that won Best Feature and Best Performance at the 2021 Nightmares Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Thriller and Best Supporting Performance. Peppergrass was also nominated for Best Picture at the 2021 Blood in the Snow Film Festival in Toronto. Garbas was co-editor of Satellite, a politics/arts magazine in New York City until 2015. His debut novel, Orest and August (CCLaP 2015), was an amazon best seller. He was born in Grimsby.
