Todd Hansen grew up in Pleasant Grove, UT. He dreamed of being a football star, but three knee surgeries in high school and the fact that he stopped growing his freshman year derailed his plans. The son of a mechanic, Todd was a first generation college student. Todd began his television career as a nightly news anchor and reporter in Tri Cities, Washington before taking a job as a weekend anchor and reporter in Salt Lake City, Utah. Todd always loved the human interest stories more than the blood and guts. He created a weekly series where he randomly knocked on people's doors and asked them to share their stories. It became a hit, but Todd left TV for good, he thought, shortly afterward. A few years later he heard of a local network looking for new shows. He pitched the idea of The Story Trek and has now completed 12 season as host, writer and executive producer. Todd and the show have won 13 Emmy awards in the Rocky Mountain region. Todd is passionate about the worth of every individual and shows it through their stories. Todd is married and has four daughters.
