Giacomo Arrigoni

Giacomo Arrigoni (1983) is an Italian writer-director. He co-wrote "State of Consciousness" (2021), a psychological thriller with Emile Hirsch, directed by Markus Stokes and produced by Paradox Studios and Iervolino Entertainment, now in post-production. In 2020, he directed the documentary "Resilient Warriors: Jose Antonio", about the revolution of syntropic farming in Brasil. The documentary got a Merit Award at the Awareness Film Fest and several international official selections. In 2019 his TV series project Savage has been selected as Special Mention at SerienCamp and Broken Run has been selected at Série Series. In 2018 his TV series and film projects Butterflies, Broken Run and Love for Dinner were selected at the TV London PitchBox - Raindance Film Festival, at the Maison des Scènaristes of the Cannes Film Festival, at the London Short Series Festival and at the Medusa Award at Cortinametraggio. In 2017 his web series #Goldfish, about the relationship between teenagers and social networks and produced by Discovery Italia, has been presented at the Giffoni Film Festival. The series has been aired on Italian TV channel NOVE and is available on Discovery's digital platform DPlay. His first feature film The Rule of Lead (2014) won several international awards and has been distributed around the world both in movie theaters and through VOD channels. He has won multiple awards for his short films, especially with Into the Gloom (2010), about violence against women, that has been screened at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome, nominated for an Italian Golden Globe and selected in a special section of the Silver Ribbons Awards (Nastro d'Argento). He's one of the creators of Sanguigna (2015), a horror series that got 5 awards at the Rome Web Awards, including Best Screenplay. He writes scripts in English and Italian for TV series, web series and feature films. He has a penchant for supernatural thrillers, ensemble dramas and coming-of-age teenage stories.
