Greg Augustine is an writer/director, best known for The Bench (2006) and Better the Devil You Know (2009). He is the founder of Augment Image, a tech company that specializes in interactive software applications, mobile computing products, and digital motion picture production. The company produces interactive Augmented Reality (AR) systems and products. Greg was born near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on November 15, 1981. He moved to Orlando, Florida in 2004 to work for Disney. He moved back to Pittsburgh in the fall of 2004 to finish his BA at the University of Pittsburgh, but, after graduating, joined friend and Disney-alumnus Laura Nehs in California to pursue film. He worked in Hollywood as an assistant to a producer and agent, but that fell away quickly as Greg felt the need to have more creative control over his projects. He took back a TV pilot that he had written for a producer and debuted as a director with the short film The Bench in 2006. That same year, he created Augment Image Studios (an all-digital production company) with producer/editor Laura Nehs. After the success of The Bench, Greg wrote and directed the short films Intemperance and the The Knights of Zodiac under his new company. The success of his independent short films afforded the filmmaker to concentrate on Better the Devil You Know, the first feature film from Augment Image Studios. That same year, he created Augment Image Studios with business partner Laura Nehs.
